This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Can't speak for "people" but for me ... well, I have read it once, about
four years ago. I remember enjoying it. I remember almost nothing else
about it; it's on my "to reread pile," but doesn't move up very fast. So
my basic after-the-fact description of the book would be "amiable, but
forgettable." Wolfe lite? Definitely; books like 5HC, the various Suns,
and PEACE, while I still haven't fully absorbed any of them, have on
first and all subsequent readings left very strong, if scattered,=20
impressions on my soggy brain.
