Hethor's Talk

m.driussi · 17 Mar 1998, 04:48 · from urth-v0008.mbox · original

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Christopher,

By writing that Hethor's most information rich (including links to
our time rather than Severian's time) speech act was in Severian's
dream rather than a witnessed event of "real life" I only meant to
gently point to where it might be found--you seem to have been looking
in the wrong place (volume I).

As for Korean, I'm hardly arguing with you--I'm on record as saying
that it is Chinese (1994).
