Hethor's Talk

C R Culver · 17 Mar 1998, 20:25 · from urth-v0008.mbox · original

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

been looking in the wrong place (volume I).<

Forget that whole letter. I was writing late at night, where the words
"Hethor" and "Jonas" begin to look the same. Nevermind me.

>As for Korean, I'm hardly arguing with you--I'm on record as saying
that it is Chinese<

My reason that I reject Chinese is because Sev doesn't seem to mention tone=
s,
which are present in Chinese but absent in Korean. Both are, however, nasal
monosyllabic tongues.
