This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. I see your point, and even agree with it -- there is a=20
certain feel to the Whorldly pantheon that does remind one=20
of (especially) the Greek gods; and naturally so, since=20
they are to some not-insignificant extent patterned after=20
them.=20

But I was not speaking of the pantheon (which is, more or
less, universal to the Whorl) but of the Chapter; and the=20
forms and rituals of the Chapter (and especially that of=20
the sacrificial rite) very much resemble those of the=20
Middle East.
