This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. How interesting that this analogy would come up at this point since this
perceived difference between the "God of the OT" and the "God of the NT" was
at the very heart of the arguments of Marcion and other second century
Gnostics. The god of the OT was the bad Demiurge. The god preached by Jesus
was the good God and Jesus was the Hercules, the superman "Savior of the
World."

Perhaps at this point someone is remembering Michael Corleon's quote in The
Godfather III:

"Just when I thought I was out--they pull me back in!"

This was apparently the feeling 1st and 2nd century Apostolic Christians had
about the Gnostic Christians as well.
