This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. I was thinking about the whole Patera Pike's ghost thing.  Mr. Wolfe denied=20
that it was Quetzal, and I wasn't sure whether Mainframe could project a sa=

image of Pike outside of the polar region.  Anyone up for the idea that a m=

Has the ghost of Pike been explained?  I know that the ghost of Crane shows=
 up=20
at the end of Return to the Whorl, but can these ghosts be formed or=20
maintained outside of the poles?  Is there a better explanation?
