Tough author addendum

Josh Geller · 18 Dec 2002, 15:37 · from urth-v0212.mbox · original

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

This isn't the point.

Marc feels uncomfortable and doesn't want to say.

You can make a case for saying he shouldn't have opened his [virtual]
mouth about it. Whatever.

I met Gene Wolfe at WorldCon and I had a number of conversations with
him.

I was invited to tell everyone about them and decided that I didn't want
to. Not because I think Gene Wolfe would mind; I am sure he wouldn't care.

But I mind. So I am not going to.
