This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is
for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site,
so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

He says, "If you kneel before me, th= e=20 New Sun will kneel before me when he comes." Right after they talk about t= he=20 New Sun and the Conciliator being the SAME PERSON. Not only does Typhon kn= ow=20 Severian, he knows about the sea powers and already seeks an alliance with=20 them, and he knows about Severian's relic (ostensibly claiming that he know= s=20 about it from watching him try to use it on Little Severian - but it doesn'= t=20 do crap there, does it? He must know about it from somewhere/when else.) =20 It's very, very hard to read that scene without believing that Typhon knows=20 precisely who Typhon is, especially with the Concialiator/New Sun/Severian=20 connection made by Typhon himself.
