Will there ever be a Book of the Old Sun?

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Latro, man. Latro lives before the Ultimate New Sun arrived in history (the=20
theoanthropos). He lives at the beginning of time, when memory is short,=20
unlike Severian, who lives toward the end, when memory is almost=20
infallible. Thematically, anyway, Latro is what you are looking for. Let's=20
hope he lives to finish it the way he planned.
         It would be interesting to read the Soldier books with an eye on=20
the Severian quintet, and see how many things are thematically or=20
narratively  parallel. I suspect there's a lot.
