The Knight

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I've just received an uncorrected proof of THE KNIGHT,
scheduled for January 2004 release. Comes in at 430
pages of fairly small print, so I'd estimate it runs
to about 200,000 words. It's dedicated to a past
member of this list, Yves Meynard, "with the greatest
respect", and a poem by Lord Dunsany, "The Riders",
appears at the front. There is a list of character and
place names at the beginning, as in the Whorl novels,
but in this case the narrator has compiled it...
