DOORS: Tina

James Jordan · 24 Jan 2003, 15:17 · from urth-v0301.mbox · original

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I took it that ALL the dolls were images of the goddess, and that=20
they were designed for children as a way of learning to interact with the=20
goddess. That is, as idols of the goddess, training them in her religion.
Living idols, in a way. Idols in the Bible are attacked as "dumb,"=20
but "I'm Tina! I'm YOUR doll, AND I CAN TALK!"
I'll modify my first paragraph: The dolls are especially for boys,=20
so that they fall in love with their dolls, and later with the goddess that=20
they image.
