No Grand Gnab

James Jordan · 14 Feb 2003, 20:16 · from urth-v0302.mbox · original

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Apologies for making two posts when one would have been better.
Also, I ask forgiveness if my statement appeared offensive. I=20
should have added ;)
As for Wolfe's cosmological concerns, just in case someone wants=20
this tidbit: His expression to me about the Urth universe was that he had=20
decided to write "in terms of one current view," or words to that effect.=20
While I'm sure he's interested (as I suppose we all are), he obviously was=20
not invested in any particular scheme. (By that I don't mean, btw, that I=20
think he would regard young-earth creationism as a viable alternative.)

FWIW
