Next Wolfe collection: title change

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Incidentally, Nick, I don't recall if you've mentioned Wolfe's new
story in the upcoming Weird Tales, Spring 2003. It's called "My Name
is Nancy Wood". It's quite short, under 2000 words, and to my mind
it's fairly minor Wolfe. It's about a woman, a nurse, exhumed because
people suspect she was murdered, and a letter she wrote that was
buried with her, detailing her curious relationship with a patient.

I was confused by some bits of the story, but the confusion did not,
for me, have the overtones of Wolfean confusion -- that is, confusion
that on further thought and rereading will be dispelled to be replaced
with some form of wonder or admiration. However, maybe further
thought and rereading is what is required.
