What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. I think that the suggestion that Agia is a cacogen is likely a thematic dea=

end, as you suppose, but it is an interesting one.  The curiousness of the=20
mask straps remaining is a good point.  Also, consider Hethor, who certainl=

was a sailor (on Tzadkiel's ship, presumably), and unless Agia was telling=20
the truth (and she was a good liar, who fooled Severian for the most part),=20
he possibly brought her and Agilus back with him from the stars ... =20
Unfortunately, I consider these points suspect myself, and I continue to=20
think Agia merely human, though an extraordinary one.
