This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is
for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site,
so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Thanks to one and all. =20 I would like to add this: to the best of my knowledge Kurt Vonnegut publica= lly stated that he did write science fiction. My memory is that it was 10 or more yea= rs ago while he was speaking at an American Booksellers Association meeting. He somethi= ng akin to: Of course I write science fiction, I've always written science fiction. But i= f I'd let anyone call it science fiction when I started to write, no one would have r= eviewed my books, bought my books, or reviewed my books. =20 I would like this to be true on several levels and for several reasons - mo= st importantly I thought it a positive sign that the 60's ghetto walls were finally down, = and that this guy was finally coming clean after so many years. It obviously could only = have happened several years after his urinal quote from Wampeters. I'll see if I can trac= k down the reference. Perhaps its only a rumor or my faulty memory? I wondered if any= one else had heard this? Phoebe=20 __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo http://search.yahoo.com --=20
