This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Slight correction ... Ahura-Mazda (Ormuzd, other spellings) is not a=20
"singular"
god but one-half of a dualistic pair; the other being, of course, Ahriman,=20
the
god of Evil. The prophecies of Zarathustra suggest that Ahura-Mazda will be
victorious in the final battle, but since everything else in the religion=20
posits
them as opposite equals, I've never quite understood how that's supposed
to work out.

I don't think so. Humans being possessed by or avatars of one of the greater
but of-this-world beings called "gods" would not be the same kind or order=20
of
thing as a human incarnation of the one transcendent God.
