This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is
for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site,
so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Have you ever felt like you had an original idea, thou= ght=20 about it a little, got excited, and then realized that you had already posi= ted=20 the same idea long ago and dismissed it, but forgot all about it? I was googling "Urth is doubled" and "Miracle of Apu-Punchau", and I found = a=20 fascinating post that was almost word for word what I wrote two days ago. =20 However, when I looked at it, I realized that I had written it last Decembe= r=20 in the archives and completely forgotten about it. I knew that I had brief= ly=20 entertained the notion of the doubing Urth, but I thought the Miracle of=20 Apu-Punchau thing was a new spin on it, but jeez ... it's all right there i= n=20 the December archives - in my ponderous and vague prose, too. Nothing is n= ew=20 under the New Sun, I guess. Has this ever happened to anyone else on the list? Genuinely thinking you = had=20 a new idea only to discover that a much younger version of your self had go= ne=20 through with far more alacrity than you are now capable of sustaining?
