This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I'm fool enough to recklessly speculate on this question, but only on=20
the understanding that I've still only read Long and Short Suns once=20
each and your post is the first time I've thought of such a connection.=20
  Assuming that Silk is an embryonic clone of Typhon (which I=20
wholeheartedly believe) and Hyacinth is an embryonic clone of the=20
original Kypris (who I also believe is Katharine) then it stands to=20
reason that Typhon might have put his whole nasty family on the Whorl,=20
especially since he went through the trouble to put them all in=20
Mainframe as gods and gave them the ability to possess people.  I have=20
been thinking seriously that Musk might very well be Hierax, thus his=20
and Silk's mutual hatred of one another.  It is possible that Horn=20
might be another Severian especially if you believe as I do that Sev is=20
Typhon's genetic son.  I think it's a stretch though.  The only thing=20
that gives it thematic appeal is that it would mean that Horn is Silk's=20
son and that in a bizarre way Severian is the author of all the Sun=20
books.  That's almost too much even for me.  Almost.
