This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Hmm.

I find 'Little, Big' to be deeply moving. I don't guess I can answer.

Maybe it's like jazz. Louis Armstrong was asked to explain jazz. He
said 'If you have to ask, you'll never know'.

I'd hate to think that is the case.=20

'Little, Big' and two other Crowley books 'The Deep' and 'Engine Summer'
are right up there in my favorite books along with TBotNS and Dhalgren
and Bernal Diaz. The last time I compiled a top ten list, Crowley was
the only writer who made it twice.

But there's no accounting for tastes. Maybe you are just not meant to
get it. I sure hope not.
