chems on Urth and a FTL Whorl

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Strictly speaking there are only technological barriers preventing the=20
subjective duration from being as small as desired. Practically=20
speaking, however, I can only offer a "yup, what he said." =20
Acceleration would be the difficult engineering feat.

We do, however, have a theory that says superluminal travel completely=20
wrecks causality. To my knowledge, no satisfactory solution outside=20
polysyllabic vociferation or invoking General Relativity in weird and=20
clever ways is known.
