some Latro thoughts

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Howdy
Earlier last month or the month before a few people were speculating=20
that Latro might be a Tarquin. If that's the case wouldn't that make=20
him a descendant of Aeneas? A lot is made of the Trojan War in these=20
books. There is that story of Achilles' ghost's revenge. It also=20
occurs to me that during the wrestling match we have the ghost of=20
Odysseus, the ghost of Achilles, and perhaps the representative of=20
Aeneas in Latro. Maybe I'm just grasping but I can't help trying to=20
make connections. What could his lineage mean to the story and to his=20
troubles?
