reckless speculation on Typhon and Quetzal

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

IIRC, Wolfe has said that Typhon had no knowledge of the inhumi, so any=20
kind of literal or clone/paternity relationship between him and Quetzal=20
seems to be out. Symbolically you may be on to something, but it has=20
appeared to me that Quetzal is a serpent in Typhon's garden, and the=20
allusions are Biblical in some kind of way. Like the ur-serpent, Quetzal=20
has entered the garden and has his own plans for its people, plans quite=20
different from Pas's.
