This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Hunh.

It would not be the first time rock bands have based their work on 
SF classics. Aside from the umpty-million tributes. Genesis' song 
"Watcher of the Skies," for example, is supposedly a tribute to 
_Childhood's End_ (by way of Keats). Bowie's album "Diamond
Dogs" is a take on _Nineteen Eighty-Four_, as is _Listen Now_,
by 801 (a side project of Roxy Music's Phil Manzanera). Rush's
album _2112_ is loosely based on Ayn Rand's _Anthem_. Etc.
