This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I'd have to think about it. However, Wolfe tends to not want to do the
same thing in part 2, or 3 or 4. The denoument he is building towards
seems to go missing. That can seem a bit disconcerting.

My advice would be to get rid of the TV, shower, bed, dividing walls
etc, and get spare copies of all the Gene Wolfes. If I had to trim down
to twenty books, I suspect he'd make up about a third of them.
