This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. I'd also like to recommend (again) to net.sf-lovers readers the
excellent "Fifth Head Of Cerberus."

I think Wolfe's being the "best SF novelist ever" is debatable (probably
endlessly :-). Although Stanislaw Lem's books are uneven in quality,
at his best I think he's a match for Wolfe. Based, of course, on the
translations that are available of his work. Try the "Cyberiad" or
"Solaris," "Memoirs Found In A Bathtub" or "The Futurological
Congress". Or his stranger works like "A Perfect Vacuum."
