This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. I've heard that "Citadel of the Autarch", to be released
in November or December, is the fourth and final volume of
Gene Wolfe's Book of the New Sun. I didn't know that the
third had come out; can anyone tell me its title and
publisher? Thanks.

For those of you who don't know, the first two books are
"The Shadow of the Torturer" and "The Claw of the Concili-
ator", and are available wherever you get sf paperbacks.
They are impressionistic science fantasy of the kind Moorcock
would like to be able to write (and I love Moorcock). I
strongly recommend them to anyone whose likes extend beyond
Asimov, Hogan, Clement, and other "pure" hard-sf writers.
