This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Al,
        I was referring to the US hardbacks, which is how I encountered=20
the Book initially. I should retract the fullness of my utterance (I was=20
writing late at night, not my best time), as I'm not very familiar with=20
reprint editions, and I know some of the UK art differs from the US (some=20
I think is the same). Pennington might well have done something memorable=20
for me--I'll give the editions a look, thanks.
