This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is
for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site,
so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

This one's got me stumped. Who's the giant? And is that a humanoid figure=20 in his hand? It's easy to lose the little finger on the giant's hand, but=20 if you can separate that finger out (it points in a different direction=20 than the other fingers), there appears to be an arm from the smaller=20 humanoid figure propped up on it. You can see a waist and legs, but the=20 head of the figure and one of its hands are radiating so much light it's=20 very tough to be certain. About the only thing that can be said with any=20 certitude is that Oreb's on the cover. Very tiny, but it's gotta be Oreb. *This is WHORL, for discussion of Gene Wolfe's Book of the Long Sun. *More Wolfe info & archive of this list at http://www.moonmilk.com/whorl/ *To leave the list, send "unsubscribe" to whorl-request at lists.best.com *If it's Wolfe but not Long Sun, please use the URTH list: urth at lists.best.= com
