This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Hi Everybody,

So, recently I decided to read all of the Sun books in order, timing it so=20
that when I finished IGJ, RTTW would come out and I would jump to that. =20
Well, I am behind; I am about to finish Urth of the New Sun.  But I may hav=
e=20
discovered something interesting.  I was on page 356 of Urth:

     "I felt as real as I ever have; and when I searched among my memories,=20
I found Valeria there still, and Thecla and old Autarch, and the boy=20
Severian(who had been Severian only).  "No," I said.  "We will live."

Adam's quote from IGJ:  "I knew that he was there, that if I turned, I woul=
d=20
see them."

Severian stopped being "one" person, so to speak.  He uses "I" throughout=20
his entire narrative, but sprinkles the "we's" around on occasion.

Severian uses "I" and "we", the IGJ passage uses "he" and "them", so, have =
I=20
unurthed evidence that Severian is The Outsider?
