Horn's spirit (SPOILER)

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Did you miss my post "Who Is He?"  I discussed this there.  Silkhorn's
astral self partly resembles Horn on Ocean, but not on the mausoleum trip,
so the change took place between the two (the hyacinth passage doesn't drive
away Horn's spirit, it brings Silk to the realization of who he is).  I
don't think Silkhorn arranged the disposition of Horn's spirit with Scylla,
though: Silk talking with Remora, after Horn's spirit has departed, still
believes he is Horn, and this wouldn't be the case if the disposition of
Horn's spirit had been something he'd discussed.
