This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Robert,

They say every reader brings something of his own to every book he=20
reads. You seem to bring more than most, in fact you seem to bring an=20
entirely different book. At least it seems this way to me.

But I applaud your efforts and marvel at your imagination, ingenuity=20
and the amount of work you put into laying out your theories.

And I want to thank you. It is a great comfort to me that even though=20
I feel that Wolfe has reached new heights of obscurity in the SS=20
series and I despair at ever grasping what is going on in the books I=20
still disagree with almost every aspect of your interpretation of=20
them. 8->
