This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

You know, when I first read this I thought, "How facile! This doesn't=20
help us to understand anything." (Well, what I originally thought was=20
more like, "Hah!" But this translates as I indicate above.)

But after maundering on for a few messages trying to analyze "what's=20
wrong" with TBotSS, I have come to realize you are right. It does=20
boil down to the fact that I didn't like the series as much as I=20
hoped I would. I think  can give some reasons for this, but that=20
doesn't mean that there is anything "wrong" with the SS books, it=20
just means I didn't like them.

OK, so this is a revelation of the obvious. I tend to be a little=20
slow, sometimes.
