This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. I didn't think of Babbie having more than the usual quantity of eyes
until that bit with the spectacles, but now I imagine his face as being
like that of a spider (8 legs!), with two main eyes and a number of
smaller auxiliary eyes.  Somehow he doesn't seem quite as cuddly any
more.  If he is like a spider, then different sets of eyes are
specialized for different purposes, and some may be nearsighted and
others more acute.  This could translate to spectacles in his
self-image-as-human.
