Gene Wolfe's secret identity

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Just now, as I was purchasing a book from Amazon.com, I was presented=20
with the usual "Customers who bought the items in your shopping cart=20
also bought:" list and on it was the entry:

* Epiphany of the Long Sun by Gene Calde of the Long Sun Wolfe, Gene=20
Exodus f Wolfe; Paperback

So, just as the comics revealed who Bruce ("Batman") Wayne was, we=20
now know not only Mr. Wolfe's secret identity but his real name as=20
well.

Now, if only Gene ("Calde of the Long Sun") Exodus F. Wolfe would=20
tell us what the F stands for!

Or, if only Amazon would hire competent data entry personnel! 8->
