This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Well... yes. Check out the Gospel according to Luke (the _only_
account of the Annunciation to Mary -- Mt. has an account of the
Annunciation to Joseph, a different matter). The angel tells her
what God has in mind, and Mary says, "Let it be done to me," and
proceeds a few paragraphs (but possibly several months) later to
sing one of the finest psalms in the Bible in praise of God for
doing this very thing.=20

Okay, it's a man's account told decades later: but (a) if we're
talking about the text we have, then there's no point in saying
"yeah, but" =E2=80=94 the text is the text; and (b) this text is the=20
only evidence we have at all, one way or another: you certainly
can't support your claim simply by saying "there is no evidence
at all."
