First time poster & thoughts on Scylla

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

And I wouldn't be surprised to learn that every prophecy ever made comes
true.  (Though in the _Long Sun_, there's a point where Incus thinks
Scylla has possessed Chenille again, but he's wrong.)

All this could be interpreted as evidence of the texts' reflecting the
narrators' imaginations more than any "real" events.  On the other hand,
it can be seen as reinforcing the plausibility of the narrative; maybe
every guess the narrators make is right (in fact, an "inspired guess").
