Digest whorl.v012.n162

Jacob G Corbin · 15 Oct 2001, 13:06 · from whorl-v0012.mbox · original

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Me too. The production was a bit low-rent at times (I think I saw the same=
 two or
three vintage cars in nearly every establishing shot) but the actor who pla=
yed Nero
did an excellent job.

A&E has had some very good original series lately - this, the Hornblower mo=
vies, and,
um, the courtroom show directed by Sidney Lumet. Plus the Equalizer reruns=
. If I
could buy cable a la carte, I'd only get it, Comedy Central, and Food Netwo=
rk (for
Iron Chef, naturlich).
