This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

	I will have to cast a dissenting vote for Tick's femininity.=20
Three reasons:

1) Auk calls him "cully", p. 309.4, a term reserved for males in cant.

2) The name "Tick" fits the convention of animal names for males in Viron.

3) Horn uses the pronoun "he", "Tick (who landed on his feet)", p.=20
309.8, when referring to Tick.

	Do you have support for Tick being a female?

	I found your compendium of Tick's speech translations useful and=20
entertaining. Thanks for tracking them down. Knowing that Tick is an=20
oracle for Sphigx puts all his utterances in a new light.
	What about Oreb. For whom does he speak? He seems to have=20
insights into personalities that are revealing. He is also a natural=20
enemy of Tick. Does this put him in the camp of Kypris and Pas?
