Ask re: Oreb

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Patrick,

Thanks for the first question! (I suspect Gene Wolfe might answer
this question as worded by just mentioning the Bible bits that "Oreb"
is mentioned in; or he might say "Hebrew for `Raven'"; etc. But
maybe not--he could very well tell us something about the bird from
Palustria. In any case, if you'd like to further refine the question,
you've got a few days to do it in.)

Now are you going to come up with a disarming Vironese nickname or am
I just going to introduce you as "That guy, you know, you said
`=3DThat=3D guy,' remember?"? <g>

=3Dmantis=3D
