Ask Gene Wolfe

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is
for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site,
so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

This is like the three wishes problem ("I wish for infinite wishes").=20
I guess I'd have to ask "What was Typhon's purpose in launching the=20
Whorl and was the Blue/Green system the intended destination?"
Somebody will have to arbitrate as to whether that's two questions,=20
but I can't help feeling that Mr. Wolfe will be tricksy in his=20
answers.=20
BTW, Michael Richman: somewhere in tBotNS, Severian says "Have I said=20
that time turns our lies into truth?" referring to a number of similar
situations (his armiger disguise which made him seem "a pilgrim bound=20
for some vague northern shrine" amongst them).
