This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

	Yes you remember correctly. The passage mentioning Teasel's
affliction is in NIGHTSIDE pages 219 & 233. Silk observes that she looks
pale and has two puncture marks on her neck, which he misinterprets as Owl
bites. Another case in point demonstrating the work required for the
reader to unravel the truth about what is going on. One must second guess
the thoughts of even the protagonist to guess piece together the facts.=20
It is a tribute to Wolfe's creation that so many are willing to do so.=20
