The _Peace_ Train

Ranjit Bhatnagar · 24 Jun 1997, 15:41 · from whorl-v0006.mbox · original

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

OK, so it's a Whorl Train, but I have that song in my head.
And I'll thank you to stop badmouthing Philadelphia, my
adopted hometown, at least until I can get the hell out of
here.

Anyway, I would like to adopt Vizcacha's first question,
which is pretty much the same as my original one which got
lost in the rush to board the first train:

"Mint states that she had to give up many things, 'five of
them very great,' to become a sibyl. Can you tell us what
  those five things were?"
