Digest whorl.v006.n026

Kieran Mullen · 03 Jul 1997, 12:34 · from whorl-v0007.mbox · original

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

There may also be a tech solution. All one really needs is some
DNA. Perhaps she had access to some Short Sun technology that allowed
here to conceive a child from his skin scrapings/hair/whatever.

Before you dismiss this note that the Whorl is rife with relatively
high level technology that the Cargo don't understand but still use.
