This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

	I would say you are onto something. My concept of Wolfe is that=20
he likes to create scenarios where several, possibly contradictory,=20
results are possible. The classic example is SEVEN AMERICAN NIGHTS; Which=20
egg, if any, contained the hallucinogen? This kind of mind game is what=20
makes Wolfe so appealing to me. To pin down his text to mean any specific=20
thing is to limit our enjoyment. An open ended problem stays in the mind=20
longer while we continue to ponder a solution. If my mind reaches closure=20
on a topic I tend to put it aside, whereas an unsolved mystery stays in=20
active memory to be called up when triggered by other related thoughts,=20
to be relived time and again.
