This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Hi Hat,

Well remembered. But the trouble is--and you can check this out in the
archives--Wolfe has explicitly denied Typhon's having prior knowledge of the
nature of the inhumi and quite probably even *of* the inhumi. Variations on
the idea of the cargo as "cattle" for the inhumi turned up several times
when this group was younger (!). It was a pet of mine for a while, but
someone, I forget who, asked him flat out about it and he denied it.
