Lupine (very Wolfean) means "voraciousness; inspiration; dejection". Loosestrife (lysimachia vulgaris) means "pretension". Lysimachia is Greek for "ending ...meaning for rue of "disdain".
I'm really impressed by this flowery analysis too. Just for this last list, maybe the English meanings/puns are also relevant, "loosing strife" as well as "ending strife", and "rue".
