Planarian worms in SF

On the subject of the use in SF of the spurious experimental evidence concerning the learning abilities of planaria: coincidentally, I've just encountered a rather good short story that makes much play of the concept: "Unborn Again" by Chris Lawson, in the most recent Dozois BEST SF OF THE YEAR anthology. =====
