Ummm. If (as Marc more-than-hints) the evidence for what Wolfe has, mysterioso, revealed to him urks in the neighborhood of sentient trees in tBotNS ... ... then I can't help wondering if we should not be concentrating on the scenes which feature Vodalus: the "Liege of Leaves." I don't have time to go reread those passages right now -- has anyone=20 read them recently?
