But still: it creates some interesting thoughts re: the claim that Severian will turn up in the "Book of the Short Sun" -- an energy vampire might be just the thing for dealing with those nasty inhumi (??=buried ones??), not so? (Or whose side will he be on, anyway? And is it possible -- or even probable, given Wolfean head games -- that we have a completely wrong idea about the inhumi...?) --Roach
