This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I've long suspected I have some sort of deficiency because I am utterly
unmoved by these kinds of revelations.  Vader is Luke's father?  Leia is
Luke's sister?  Yawn.  Let's see some more spaceships blowing up.

Dorcas's identity interests me more because it shows how she's been dead
or suspended for a long time than because she's related to Severian.  I
guess the whole sleeping with your grandmother thing provokes a satisfying
"eeeew!" as well.  I just hope Silk doesn't turn out to be Severian's son,
brother, clone, grandfather, or twin sister.=20

Maybe my family life was just too humdrum for these kinds of things to
have any emotional resonance for me.
